AAP has recently been awarded a grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) to support advocacy for effective pediatric global immunization. In partnership with the International Pediatric Association (IPA), we hope to work collaboratively with key high capacity national pediatric societies to educate and mobilize their national political and intellectual leadership in vigorous support of global immunizations, including polio eradication, GAVI, and measles eradication priorities.

Dear Prof Enver,

I was saddened to hear of the tragic loss of life caused by the earthquake which has struck East part of your country. I would like to extend, Afghans’ paediatricians, people and my own heartfelt sympathy to you  and the people of Turkey including all your paediatricians. Our prayers and thoughts are with everyone who has been affected by the dreadful disaster. If we can any help based on our profession, the doctors here are ready to take part in provision of health services.
